Intertextuality of the film “inception” is shown throughout the video particularly at the beginning when lil Wayne is being patted on the face and the screen is shaking and when the chair is falling backwards into the bath. He is channeling Leonardo DiCaprio’s character that he plays in the film.

Another exaple of intertextuality of the film “inception” is shown when Lil Wayne is stood in front of the buildings dressed in the suit which mirrors a scene from the film in which Leonardo Di Caprio is stood in a similar position with a low angle shot focused upon him.

Additionally, the whole music video is an intertextual spoof of the film as Lil wayne clearly plays the role of Leonardo Di'Caprios character.
